A cornerstone of Krug’s savoir-faire, individuality is the art of understanding that each individual plot of vines, through its wine, is in itself a single ingredient in Krug Champagne.
 

Each year, the House of Krug honours this philosophy by paying tribute to a humble Single Ingredient, and inviting renowned Krug Ambassade Chefs to create food pairings to accompany the latest Édition of Krug Grande Cuvée and Krug Rosé.
 

In 2023, we celebrate a beacon of generosity and vitality, and the first fruit to be elected Single Ingredient: the vibrant citrus called lemon.

More than 100 world-renowned Chefs, representing 25 countries, accepted the challenge. Their original creations are collected in a Krug x Lemon recipe anthology, a unique opportunity to delve into the creative minds of highly renowned and extremely talented Chefs around the world.

Discover through their original creations how a humble ingredient can be the unifying element that holds together flavours, textures, and even cultures. More than a cookbook, “The Zest is Yet to Come” is an encounter among creators – Cellar Master Julie Cavil, and Krug Ambassade Chefs – who show us the boundless inspiration we can harness when life gives you lemons.

Every year, the House of Krug honours the dream of one man, Joseph Krug with a new Édition of Krug Grande Cuvée, the most generous expression of Champagne.

Krug Rosé is an unexpected rosé Champagne combining elegance and boldness – inspired by the dream of the fifth generation of the House of Krug to conceive a rosé Champagne that did not exist, a rosé Champagne that could be re-created every year.

A JOURNEY OF CONNECTION
This year, in honour of the Single Ingredient, Krug invited 12 Krug Ambassade Chefs to join Krug Cellar Master Julie Cavil on a trip to Brazil into the roots of the lemon. An inspirational journey that inspired the Chefs to create zesty pairing recipes for Krug Grande Cuvée 171ème Édition and Krug Rosé 27ème Édition.
