About the Krug Lover
Nelson Müller is a German chef whose cuisine reflects both his Ghanaian heritage and upbringing in Stuttgart. After training in Germany and Italy, he opened his Michelin-starred restaurant Schote in Essen in 2009, relocating it in 2023 to the tranquil Diepeschrather Mühle near Bergisch Gladbach. Known to many through his appearances on German television, Müller combines his passion for seasonal, regional ingredients with a belief in honest, expressive cooking. His work is shaped by a deep sense of place, a respect for craft, and a personal journey that continues to inform his thoughtful approach to cuisine.
