About the Krug Lover

New Hampshire native Nathan Rich leads the culinary program at Twin Farms in Barnard, Vermont. His cuisine emphasizes seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, reflecting Vermont’s bounty. A Krug Lover since 2023, Rich integrates Krug Champagne into his dining experiences, enhancing the flavours of his dishes.   

How would you describe your culinary philosophy?

Fresh, sharp, clean, and delicious. 

Who would you like to share your dream dinner with and why? 

I would travel to France to dine at Michel Bras. I have been inspired by him and his cuisine since I was 19 years old. 

How would you define your cooking style? 

Creativity in the kitchen is about using imagination to transform ingredients into a memorable experience. It's the ability to blend flavours and presentation in a delightful way. 

How does the location of your restaurant inspire your cooking? 

I believe in cooking quality foods that reflect the changing seasons, inspired by Vermont's finest produce, and our own farm-grown herbs, fruits and vegetables. 

What three things would you take with you on a desert island? 

A knife, salt, and a cooking pot. 

What makes you a Krug Lover? 

I'm all about using the highest quality ingredients to create unforgettable dishes. That's why I'm a Krug Lover – the Maison embodies the same dedication to excellence.
