Nestled within the historic Galerie Vivienne, Legrand Filles et Fils is a true temple of wine. Since 1880, Maison Legrand has upheld a dual tradition: honouring the meticulous craftsmanship of the vineyard and catering to the refined tastes of its clientele. Lucien Legrand, a visionary and devoted wine enthusiast, revolutionized the caviste profession by personally visiting winegrowers, hand-selecting their finest creations, and bringing them back to his boutique. The restaurant is a natural extension of this heritage, where Chef Benjamin Anthoni creates inspired dishes from locally sourced seasonal ingredients – true culinary artistry designed to honour and enhance the greatness of wine.

About the Krug Lover

Born and raised in Provence, Arnaud Tronche started his career in the telecom business before moving into the world of wine. In 2014, he opened the acclaimed restaurant Racines, in New York, renowned for its extensive and well-curated wine list. In October 2020, he was appointed Director of Legrand Filles et Fils in Paris, overseeing the wine shop, restaurant, distribution and event departments. A Krug Lover for over two decades, his favourite regions are Champagne, Provence and Burgundy.

Who would you like to share your dream dinner with and why?

First, I would choose Bruce Springsteen, to hear him sing while sipping on Krug. Second, Barack Obama, to listen to his stories on how he became President. Third, John McEnroe, so we could play tennis together and then enjoy a glass of Krug.

Who is the person you admire most and why?

Bruce Springsteen. While “admiration” might not be the right word, his music has always been a part of my life.

What is your idea of pleasure?

Friends, family, good food and good wine altogether.

What is your guilty pleasure in life?

Fried chicken and Krug Grande Cuvée.

Where are you when you feel the happiest?

At home in Provence

What is your favourite Krug food pairing?

Simple fried chicken.

When is your favourite time to enjoy Krug?

Outdoors on a terrace with friends, a moment meant to be shared.
