About the Ambassade
Leña is a new kind of steakhouse, created by Dani García and born from a dream to revolutionise the grilling world, bringing his recipes to everyone, everywhere. Located at Puente Romano Resort in Marbella, Leña showcases García’s signature charcoal-grilled cuisine combining tradition, innovation and quality ingredients in a warm and elegant setting.
How would you describe your culinary philosophy?
Leña is the steakhouse 2.0, where the ability to create globally inspired yet deeply savoury recipes unites with a perfect technique on the ember. At Leña we cook all kinds of products with a focus on the high-quality meats.
What is your current culinary obsession?
Democratising the kitchen in order to make it accessible to all kinds of diners, making them feel at home in our restaurants, where we deliver the highest quality in every detail.
How would you define your cooking style?
Cosmopolitan and savoury, with smoke as a guiding thread.
What was the most memorable meal you either cooked or ate?
A charcoal-grilled turbot, tasting each component separately.
How has the way you cook evolved as your career has progressed?
It has evolved from a more technical cuisine towards a more direct approach, allowing us to have a greater reach – but always with the ingredient as a cornerstone.
What is your favourite Krug food pairing?
A charcoal-grilled piece of meat with generous marbling and light maturation. The complex and multidimensional textures that Krug offers pair wonderfully with powerful and smoked dishes.
When is your favourite time to enjoy Krug?
Krug Grande Cuvée has a unique versatility, as it can be either a great aperitif or a magnificent pairing throughout the entire meal. However, my favourite moment to enjoy Krug would be any time, always with great friends.
