Jae Hyung Jung is a versatile artist, producer, singer songwriter, and pianist from Korea with a wide range of contributions from K pop hits to classical music. He is also active as a music director for films and exhibitions. His repertoire includes the original soundtrack for the movie "Addiction" (2002) and the music for the exhibition "Henri Matisse: Life and Joy" (2021-2022).
Born in Seoul, he studied music composition at Hanyang University and began his music career in 1995 as part of the hitmaking K-pop group 'Basis’. After the group split in 1999, he went to France to attend the École Normale de Musique de Paris.
A Krug Lover for over a decade, Jae Hyung Jung was particularly inspired by Krug Grande Cuvée 167ème Édition. His approach to creating a Krug Music Pairing focuses on the stories that both music and coll have the power to convey. After joining Cellar Master Julie Cavil for an extended tasting at the Krug Family House in Reims, Jae-Hyung went on to compose two unique Krug Echoes capturing the sensations of the champagne he discovered. For Krug Grande Cuvée 167ème Édition, he created “Voyage Mysterieux” with an electronic sound capturing the dynamism, nuances and power of the champagne. For Krug 2011, his composition “Scent Silence” evokes exotic elements of the Orient, as the champagne was born from a year with a strong sense of mystery.
