Taking diners to the peak of pleasure is a passion for Andreas Döllerer. Recognised as one of the hottest young Chefs in Europe, and recently crowned head of one of Austria’s top restaurants, his self-styled alpine cuisine has taken the Austrian restaurant scene to new heights. Being a Krug Ambassade simply means his guests can always enjoy the fullness of flavours and aromas of Krug Grande Cuvée with exquisite original recipes.

What is most precious to you?
Quite clearly, my family is very close to my heart. In particular, my wife is the person I admire most – she doesn’t always have it easy with me.
Where does your inspiration come from?
I often find the beauty of the mountains to be a constant source of inspiration.
What is your greatest achievement?
It was an honour when the 2014 Falstaff Restaurant Guide named my restaurant the best in Austria. But I also look back fondly on being two-time table football champion at boarding school, in 1995 and 1996!
What would be your ultimate dream meal?
My signature creation ‘Döllerer’s Frische’, a very special kind of veal bratwurst, accompanied by Krug Grande Cuvée and good friends.
What has been life’s most important lesson?
Life is full of precious things but having good health is most important.
