About the Ambassade

Osteria Enoteca Cuntitt is situated in a beautifully restored Lombardy-style farmhouse in Castel San Pietro, surrounded by vineyards and mountains. The restaurant serves regionally inspired Italian cuisine and offers two charming terraces providing the ideal setting for alfresco dining in summer. With a strong emphasis on the synergy between wine and food, it offers an extensive selection of local and international wines. The establishment's commitment to high-quality cuisine and genuine hospitality makes it a notable destination in the region, for locals and visitors alike. 

About the Krug Lover

The innovative, eclectic, and visionary Chef Federico Palladino has led Osteria Enoteca Cuntitt in Castel San Pietro since 2020. After refining his skills at "Da Vittorio" and attending Gualtiero Marchesi's ALMA International School of Italian Cuisine, he emphasises rigorous ingredient selection, and crafts unexpected yet meticulously curated flavour stories through his menus. Under his guidance, the restaurant earned a Michelin star, 16 Gault&Millau points, and became a member of Les Grandes Tables Suisses.

How would you define your cooking style?

My culinary style would be described as genuine and hearty.

How does the location of your restaurant inspire your cooking?

The local area greatly influences my dishes. I try as much as possible to use products from regional producers and to interpret them in my own style. 

What is the greatest lesson you have learnt in or outside the kitchen?

In general the experiences that most influence my dishes are my travels, near and far, I like to experience new cuisines and ingredients.

What is your ultimate dream meal?

My ideal dish is fresh, seasonal and as local as possible.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Creative, eccentric, and ambitious

What is your favourite Krug food pairing?

Anything can be paired with Krug Grande Cuvée thanks to its generosity of flavours and aromas.  

Why do you love Krug? 

I have always been a Krug Lover and to have my restaurant become a Krug Ambassade is a source of pride for me, as I share the Maison’s values.
