Stefan Persterer and Michael Oberperfler are the owners of Aurora, a restaurant located on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse. Michael, an art expert and botanist, is always attentive to everyone, spreading warmth and good cheer, while Stefan's positive energy makes him the team’s steady anchor. Aurora serves creative international cuisine of the highest quality, offering genuine hospitality, a cozy atmosphere, and personality in the heart of Zurich.
Who is the person you admire most and why?
There are many people we admire and who inspire us every day in our wonderful profession. We are always most impressed by those who have built a great company or created an exceptional product from scratch.
What is the greatest lesson you have learnt in or outside the kitchen?
We find it particularly rewarding to explore and understand the craftsmanship behind the exceptional products we offer in our establishment. Engaging with producers and embracing their philosophies continuously shapes and enriches our business.
What is your ultimate dream meal?
It should simply taste good, touch the soul, and bring a smile to one's face.
How would you describe yourself in three words?

Where are you when you feel the happiest?
Together with my partner, enjoying a glass of Krug Grande Cuvée and fine food.

There are several—but one particularly memorable pairing is a delightful chicken curry mayonnaise salad with Krug Grande Cuvée.
