Il Duomo is a place where passion for cooking and the team’s love for their homeland emerge in every dish. Chef Ciccio Sultano is renowned for his ability to enhance local ingredients, bringing out their authentic flavours through modern techniques and a personal touch. His cuisine tells stories of sea and land, past and present, skillfully combining humble ingredients and excellent raw materials in culinary creations that surprise and fascinate.

The experience at Il Duomo is an immersive journey engaging all the senses. The menu is a tribute to Sicily, with dishes that vary according to seasonality and availability of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality in every course.

What role does Music play in your life?

From the alarm clock in the morning to the song we play to relax, music is essential. Just like cooking, it is a way to express feelings, experiences, and memories. As Nietzsche once said, "Life without music would be a mistake."

How would you describe your culinary philosophy?

Our culinary philosophy is based on the enhancement of Sicilian and Mediterranean traditions, reinterpreted in a modern way. Our cuisine is deeply rooted in the Sicilian terroir, but at the same time open to international influences, combining high quality local ingredients with innovative techniques.

Can you describe any parallels you see between cooking and Music?

Both are forms of artistic expression that satisfy a need: hunger in the case of food and the ability to express our feelings and emotions in the case of music.

What are your sources of inspiration?

From the mountains to the sea, Sicily is a precious and unlimited source of inspiration. I have simply to open my eyes and wander through its villages to gather ideas and sensations that I can then transfer into my dishes.

Why do you love Krug?

It is very easy to love a champagne when it is crafted to the highest quality standards worldwide. When opening a bottle of Krug, I am certain that I will find exceptional quality.

When is your favourite time to enjoy Krug?

Honestly, there is no specific moment. We create our own perfect moments, and any time has the potential to become an unforgettable Krug experience.
