At the end of September, Krug Lovers in Seoul journeyed across the vibrant metropolis to three different destinations, at each of which they discovered a particular aspect of the Krug Encounters trifecta: Music x Krug x Food. Korean actor Teo Yoo was the evening’s curator, selecting music to pair with each of the Krug Champagnes proposed and take the experience to a new dimension where taste meets sound.

ALL ABOARD FOR KRUG GRANDE CUVÉE
 

Guests were welcomed at the ODE Port cultural space by Olivier Krug who introduced them to Krug Grande Cuvée 166ème Édition. The House’s most recent tribute to the dream of its founder, Joseph Krug, to create the very best Champagne every year, regardless of variations in climate, it is the 166th re-creation of the fullest expression of Champagne.

In search of Seoul music

The evening continued at the L’Amitié restaurant where guests were immersed in a live music tasting experience. A trio of musicians performed pieces carefully chosen to pair beautifully with Krug 2004 and Krug Grande Cuvée 160ème Edition, two unique expressions of nature inspired by the year 2004.

A TASTE OF TAILS OF THE SEA
 

The last destination for the evening was the Krug Ambassade L’espoir du hibou where Michelin-star Chef Kihak Lim crafted a Krug x Fish feast with a French-Korean twist. During the dinner, guests were plunged into Kihak’s recent maritime adventure with a group of other Krug Ambassade Chefs in the Tails of the sea film.
